I went for coffee at the cafe, and the barista Amanda is wonderful, her drinks are unique and she’s very nice! They have a list of custom-created and recommended drinks that are sophisticated and taste better than a regular Starbucks. Our family drivers far to get them!

So nice to be an a good book store again. The older lady at the front counter asked the women in front of me if she belonged to the book club. But didnt ask me, nor look me in the eye. Just kept looking down. I guess my tattoos on my arms bothered her or maybe she thought I couldnt read.

Great book shop! We visited twice during our trip to Kansas City, and were inspired to purchase a voucher as a gift for our son, his wife and baby daughter to go and have some fun choosing books for each of them together. We also met friends there for coffee. Lovely vibe, helpful staff, beautiful lay-out.
