Absolutely stunning, classical and nice public library in Manhattan, NYPL made me feel like I was in a museum or a university’s library, a great and quiet place for learners/workers to visit. Definitely come back.
Free one-hour tours of the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building begin at 11 AM and 2 PM on Monday through Saturdays. (Please keep in mind that The Schwarzman Building is closed on Sundays in July and August). Tours meet at the reception desk in Astor Hall. Tours are available on a first come basis and are limited to 25 people.
Yes. I just became an out of state member. You get a 3-month membership including ebooks. If you’re out of country, I think you get a 3-day pass to do in-house research.
You have to go on the floors above and ask from the librarian.. im sure they have almost everything from the past if only yu ask for it
As of January 2022, can one do research and read physical books on the Stephen Schwarzman library ?

Good morning! In this building we no longer have a book room for the children. But, at the SNFL Library across the street from us on the corner of 40th and 5th Avenue we have a children's book room on the ground floor. They are new facilities with much to enjoy.

Well, because of the pandemic it is a bit restricted but if you have a book or a computer you can enter the classrooms, if you can go to the photo and book area, the people who work there are very kind and they will give you more information about what you need. want to know.
It will be fully open on July 1st as Gov Cuomo has said for NYC back to business plan...
Good afternoon.
How can I find out what job my father and Uncle were working at in the years from 1948 through 1951?
Another question how can I find someone's address in 1969/1970 that live in Brooklyn. Where do I look for that information?
Thank

I don't know anything about the Living Language books and discs, so you have to ask them about that. But as far as I know, they no longer have a used bookstore like before. I might be wrong, but I don't see any signs of it like they used to at the old location.
Is there printing services here. Like I need to use a computer to print something out?
You go in by 42 door of NYPL, turn left and go straight ahead. There you will need ID or passport.
Library card get you free entry to more than 30 museums
Could you tell me whether the microfilm reading room is open at the same times as the general ones given, and whether, arriving from out of town late Friday, I would be able to order reels the next day?
Thank you very much

No there isn't a luggage room. They inspect your bags when you are leaving. An option is luggage storage for about $6 a day. There all over Manhattan

You can do so in the online library catalog. Also by going into the library with your book. And possibly by calling the library. Online catalog is fastest and easiest.
