One of the last good known local libraries around that still actually operates like a modern day library. From time to time like today, they're having a function downstairs the library. I notice a very large and friendly staff, very comfortable building inside and out. Air conditioning works everywhere, there's wifi and security cameras everywhere. I work there from time to time as a security guard and its always a shock to see how busy they get. A traditional library with innovative forward thinking. Also, you might want to join and be a member. They have great perks like fast food discounts for doing so.

Questions & Answers

Are used books accepted, I’m settling my parents estate and they have lots of books that I don’t want to throw out.

Currently we are not accepting used book donations, but that may change in the future. Either way, call and speak to a Librarian (631-929-4488 ext. 225) and they will be able to give you other options on where to donate used books in our area.

We have multiple options online, one is a research database located under the "Resources" menu option. Once in the "Online Research/Databases," scroll to find our databases for "Genealogy".... Or you can contact one of our Librarians who may help guide you further at 631-929-4488 ext. 225.

How do I sign up for a library card if I am always working?

We now have a way to sign up for a library card online. Under the "About Us' menu option on our website you will see an option for "Online Library Card Request"....Once completed a staff member will contact you with your library card barcode, usually within 24 hours. This will allow you access to all our virtual programs, online databases, and more, and allow you time to find a spot in your schedule to make it into the Library for the physical card. Any questions, contact the Circulation desk at 631-929-4488 ext. 221.
