Garfield Public Library

I love the Garfield public library and the staff. I came here alot growing up with my family and now I am a mom coming here all the time with my kids. My daughter looks forward to the summer reading program every year and loves the different events like reading to a therapy dog or arts and crafts. Lauren is the children's librarian and she is very helpful and cares a lot about kids. They have a new area in the kids section for ABC mouse on the computer. They are usually open on Saturdays except for in the summer. The library is right across the street from a nice park Danhert's Lake County park with a walking path and a playground also lots of benches. The perfect combo: grab a book and go to the lake. There is also a Dunkin donuts a quick walk from there as well if you want to add a tea or coffee to the mix.
