I visited this location after cutting the tip of my finger badly while cooking. I initially went to another urgent care across the street that recommended I go to City MD since they didn’t have surgicell/hemostat on hand to help staunch the bleeding. I was not triaged when I visited this location with an actively bleeding cut, but they were able to get me back within 30 minutes. The medical staff were nice, but the doctor took one look at my cut, said it needed it to be stitched through the nail bed, said she didn’t have experience doing that, and that I needed to go to the ER for stitches. I went to the ER they recommended, but the ER doctor told me that it was completely unnecessary to get stitches for my cut. I hadn’t cut myself anywhere close to the actual nail bed, and in the end, the doctor did what the first urgent care I went to had planned to do (removed the dead skin and bandaged me up). I ended up being charged $4,000 by the ER. I recommend checking with another urgent care before going to the ER in case they misdiagnose your treatment and refuse to treat you.
