I have worked with Boost IT for more than 10 years and have been extremely satisfied with their professionalism, honesty and attention to detail. They always seem to have the client's best interest in mind when making suggestions or recommendations concerning the IT needs of your company. It may be expensive but it surely will save money in the long-term and keep your organization exceedingly productive and fully operational. In this day and age of essential computer security and lurking sabotage, it's comforting to have such a knowledgeable and dedicated team on your side. Their response time to a crisis is exceptional and Russell and Brent are extremely dependable and trustworthy. I highly highly recommend them for your IT needs.

Ransomware is pretty nasty because it encrypts all your files so you can't get to any of your data. You may have to pay in bitcoin to get them unlocked and there's no guarantee they will follow through. On our web site, our blog post lists 5 steps for how to prevent ransomware. They are secure the perimeter, secure the endpoints, secure the software, secure the people, secure the backup.

Hey- quick question: I have a mid 2012 MacBook Pro and want to upgrade to an SSD because it is seriously lagging and takes a minute-and-a-half to boot. What would you recommend?

Upgrading to a solid state drive is really smart. With an SSD, your Mac will boot in about 15 seconds, and the Mac will perform faster all-around.
