Small. Very congestive, especially in this busy area of Atlanta. Horrible parking/drop-off. Horrible access to and from the trains. Not enough workers to assist everyone even though there is only two trains daily (1 Northbound, 1 Southbound). Station needs to be relocated!!

Clean and customer service was amazing

Yay Amtrak! This station is very small but historic and cool. Small parking lot so I recommend taking the MARTA. Station keeps doors closed between 6:30am-8:30pm I believe so if you are there then, be ready to wait outside. Trains are often late at no fault of Amtrak (Amtrak has to yield to freight trains). Be prepared to wait with food & water... station has vending machines but they're "use at own risk" at the moment. Nice bathrooms & there are outlets along the wall for public use. Riding coach was great:) lots of leg room and comfy seats. Pack your own food and lots of water. No microwave on board but they will give you hot water. There's hope yet for US passenger rail! Close to it.
I think most everyone just uses uber nowadays.
Yes
I recommend 30 minutes before departure just in case. If you miss your train, there's not another till morning.
If you are getting off in a small town likely NO you will have to take a carry on suitcase only
The roomettes on board aren't spacious, but the seats are a little bigger than in coach.
There is a ticket office at the station where you can ask. There aren't any printed signs otherwise.
Not at all...
It's a public train (transportation)
No long term parking at Amtrack Atlanta.
No, it only stops downtown Atlanta. You would need to catch a lyft or uber to McDonough, GA
The Auto Train goes directly between Lorton, VA (right outside of Washington, DC) and Orlando. They have special facilities to load the cars onto the trains at each station, so there are no stops in between.
Yes u can do
No.
Yes you can purchase tickets at the window. There are no kiosks here.
I honestly have no idea
Yes there is
Home π
No, windows open for emergency exit only
No, the train goes to New Orleans and New York with intermediary stops along the way. The station in Savannah goes to Florida.
Happy Holidays, i don't live there and it's been awhile since I've visited so I can't answer that.
No, there are no storage facilities at the Atlanta Peachtree Center Metro Station. However, there are storage facilities in Atlanta perhaps within proximity. Jonesie Quartey.
You would have to ask the people who work there.
If your lucky you can get to one of the 5 spots in front of the building. They do have overflow parking behind the Masonic building next door it's less stressful to park there.
No
Uber
No i think it's on peachtree st SW or S east
You'd have to take the train and transfer in New York I think. Amtrak.com can give you more info
Hmmm, directly no but I know the train leaving Atlanta does pass through Maryland. If you get off in DC there might be a train to take you to Marlboro
Station has only about 6 spots in front that are 1 hour parking only. Numerous pay garages within reasonable walking distance.
Very little
SEPTA has station in Ambler at 35 W Butler Ave
No you cant, pets cant travel farther than Charlotte on a train from ATL unless its a service animal.
Hmm that's about 101 miles away...not sure of shuttle...there is however a greyhound bus that will go for about $37.00...you could provably get a Lyft/Uber from station to station
oh. Amtrak. Apparently it's 1688 Peachtree Road NW. Our train arrives at 9pm on a Sunday and we need to rent a car or at least pick it up, at that time.
Yes, they start at about 110$
Around $3 per person. They have seating near the doors for elderly and mobility limited riders. Might be tight getting a wheelchair in, not sure. It is great for getting to the airport and avoiding parking and fees. I am not sure where Peachtree Station is.
You can walk to Arts Center station if you are in decent health but it's a little over a mile. You will get there faster walking than waiting on the #110 bus route!
Also goes to New Orleans, where you could transfer to the Sunet Limited
Mellow Mushroom, Chiptotle, Azteca (Mexican), A Thai place and a Ted's Buffalo Grill come to mind
MARTA does not have a rail station directly serving Amtrak, but the route 110 MARTA bus calls there. It will take you to the nearby Arts Center station from which you can transfer to a direct train to Atlanta Airport.
