Everything they tell you when you call for details is a lie. Extra cost for parking but you also might not get a space even if you sign up in Oct of the year before , extra for all utilities . Each staff tells you something different, not well trained and no one calls you back.

This place was pretty rough at the beginning of 2021 school year, but they’ve really started to turn this place around recently. Mary Anne in the front office has really started to take initiative in transforming the standard into the apartment building it should be. Pretty decent place to live, the management as well as the overall condition of the building has definitely begun to improve.

honestly i wasn’t too impressed at first, but my apartment is nice, and its the best youre gonna do for something in the fort. underground parking & your packages are always safe when you order online.& youre so close to campus and everything that matters its all worth it tbh. also everyones nice and helpful when stuff sucks, so its actually just gotten better. but yeah the people who live here make the building gross and dirty and noisy, but everyone who works here is nice and helpful and i have never had bugs & any major issues are solved very fast

My son is a current student at UTK and has lived at The Standard for the past year. We have been very happy we chose The Standard for his off campus living and will renew his lease for as long as my son is attending UT. I have contacted staff multiple times about questions and concerns and they have always gotten back to me promptly, in professional and courteous manner. Additionally, the times my son has contacted staff, he has always received a timely resolution. Sierra has been particularly helpful and pleasant. The Standard is a beautiful apartment complex in a fantastic location. Most of the tenants are college kids living on their own for the first time. Unfortunately, cleanliness and following rules is not their first priority. If you replaced the college tenants with professional working adults you would not have the problems with trash, broken doors, pulled fire alarms – etc. Staff also routinely sends emails reminding tenants of regulations, for example- where the trash needs to go and where it doesn’t belong. I feel they do their best to enforce regulations and handle violations as they arise.
