The crab cakes were too spicy for my own personal taste, but if you like a mild spice level, then you will like them. I am in my 50s and I really don't like spicy foods like I did when I was younger. They were thoroughly cooked and presented well. I read the description of the mashed potatoes but I missed somewhere that they would be covered in sort of a brown gravy or sauce. I didn't care for that. If I ordered them again I would just ask for them without that sauce. Other than that they were seasoned well and they tasted good. My husband got the blackened pork chop. It was what you would expect with a blackened pork chop. It was cooked thoroughly yet it was not dry. I tried a bit of it and it was well seasoned. He had a sweet tea and he said it was good. I had a mixed drink. I believe it was called "in good company" and it was very similar to an Old Fashioned. It tasted good. The place is very clean and the decor is very nice. The employees are very nice as well.

We were reluctant to go in because of the pretentious vibes we got from a distance. These are the types of places I typically walk by without looking twice. It was the only place in the square without a wait so we gave in. Overall vibes of the place were pretentious, snooty. Lower-middle/Middle class Karens were the overwhelming majority here. This is a place they come to feel special, important. Like they do not live in Knoxville Tn. Our waiter, a gentleman with a large beard, was the only positive part of our experience. He was just attentive enough. His attitude was a very nice contrast to the crowd. The menu is small and kind of “all over the place” but in a good way. High quality food cooked perfectly. I imagine the food would have been delicious if served warm, unfortunately both of our plates were served at room temperature. Prices were cheap for the effort put into preparing the food. And very cheap for the quality of food. Just wish we could have enjoyed it!

The trout was incredible; best fish I’ve had in a long time and the Brussel sprouts were perfect with it. The two cocktails I had were great. I’ll be back. It’s definitely on the expensive end, but it’s very high quality and worth the price tag.

My partner and I came to the Oliver Royale on a date night last week, and our server Deontre made it so special. All of the recommendations he made were great. The food was amazing, and the cocktails were delicious. The service was timed really well, with our appetizers cleared before entrees came out, and same with dessert. We will definitely be back in the future to sit with Deontre. 🙂

If you are going to an event it would be to park in the market square garage
I have no idea. I would call and ask. If you plan to stay at the Hotel, it would be wise to make reservations ASAP
Yes, and $20 per 750mL bottle
