Great place for a low tide walk

Beautiful beach for residents only in Old Saybrook. Mostly young families and seniors with a good snack bar, wide swimming area which gets enormous at lower tides. Overall a nice place to spend the day, but head to Harvey's Beach down the street if you dont live here.

Nice small town beach Lots of town families come with their kids When the tide is low You can walk for a couple of miles on fine sanded beach I do that all the time in summer

No, you would have to rent your own elsewhere or bring an inflatable.
Sure.Why not?
No there is a fee, around $25 on the weekend, a little cheaper during the week and cheaper after 4 pm. any day.
The is a old saybrook resident beach which the resident has to purchase a permit for yearly to park. Harvey's beach within 1/2 mile down Rd accepts out of town people parking but at a cost. Here's what I found for parking cost at Harvey's beach which I also go to. DAILY FEE $15.00 per car Monday - Thursday $25.00 per car Friday - Sunday & Holidays Motorcycle $12.00 per day **NO REFUNDS** or Season Passes Available NON-RESIDENT SEASON PASS $150.00
Old saybrook town resident parking only if they have a resident parking permit but it is open to public to bike in or walk in.
