First of all I’ve tried posting this review 3 times and they keep hiding it. We’ll see if this works if I remove the photos. Do. Not. Live. Here. I don’t even know where to start with how bad of an experience living at Union Place was. From an unresponsive leasing office (3 weeks of following up every day to get a response), to rude concierge, to the lack of security, to refusing to accept and hold deliveries, to malfunctioning fire alarms, this place is a nightmare. The icing on the cake was our disaster of a move out process. Union place staff lost our keys and parking passes, allowing others the opportunity to enter our unit while we were still living there (hello safety concerns!!) and instead of believing us launched a full fledged “investigation”, reviewing camera footage, and questioning into where they were. The staff was rude and condescending throughout the whole process (I have emails to prove it). They overcharged us for the last month of rent (didn’t prorate it correctly) and we’re still going back and forth with them to get the money back owed. They charged us $150 in “damages” claiming the apartment was dirty after we had it cleaned, see pictures attached for what they’re calling unclean. If you value your time, money, and sanity - do yourself a favor and go live elsewhere.

I toured Union Place and was ready to sign a lease. They scammed me out of $380 and told me my 700 credit score wasn’t good enough (mind you, I’ve been renting in this area for the past 8 years and have never had this issue). I also have a gov clearance in which a credit/background check is required. I’ve never been late on any payments nor been evicted due to not paying. Their lack of professionalism and competence when I brought this up to them was even more infuriating. But after reading the reviews it looks like I dodged a bullet. I will take my money elsewhere

I signed a lease a year ago and living here was fine at first. Absurdly expensive, but it was fine. However, I just got my lease renewal offer and they are trying to increase my rent by $500 A MONTH. And I did not receive any covid special moving in. Typical greedy management that treats their tenants as expendable. For perspective, I currently pay $2400 /mo after parking and amenity fees and now they're asking for $2900. I talked to the management to see if there was any negotiating it down and they said no. However, I wouldn't even recommend living here for just one year as living conditions has greatly gone downhill. Packages and food delivery are constantly stolen, it takes like 2 days for them to sort through packages to simply hand them to residents, cleanliness has gone downhill, there's mosquitos all through the building. Also, the reviews are not an exaggeration. There is literally one tenant that walks around (sometimes naked) and tries door handles to see if she can break into apartments. She has been seen stealing packages, wallets, food, and even stole someones dog a couple weeks ago. The cops are always here because of her but for some reason she hasn't been arrested or evicted. All that to say, there are wayyy too many brand new apartments popping up in the NoMa area to settle for this one. Find a better one.

Don’t live here if you like getting your packages delivered, or good customer service. There are so many options for apartment buildings similar to this one - I would highly recommend choosing somewhere else. Don’t be fooled by the tour - the tour was great and they really try and take care of you up until that lease is signed. After that, you are on your own .Very high staff turnover, poor communication, and a general lack of care from the moment you sign your lease. When I first moved in they didn’t even have keys or my parking pass ready for me when I arrived, nor did they have move-in bins/dolleys for me (when I was guaranteed one several times over the phone). I had to wait almost 48 hours just to have a working FOB that allowed me access to the building and the ability to lock my apartment door if I left. Everything about the building seems nice on the surface, but once you live in the building for a few months you slowly start to realize how many little things this building does wrong. I hate giving bad reviews and seldom do, but I’m sincerely hoping that someone sees this and just decides to live elsewhere. Only reason I’m giving two stars instead of one is because the cleaning and maintenance staff were great and the overall location is convenient and close to a lot of restaurants/grocery stores. Even despite this, I couldn’t move out fast enough. UPDATE: Even after moving out over 7 months ago, Union place still continues to haunt me. I get texts/emails every couple days saying I have a package to pick up at Union place. As far as I know, I have scheduled nothing for delivery at my old address as I made the official address change months ago. I called Union place to ask about the situation and they assured me that I had no packages in their system and they would look into the issue. Called on two separate occasions over a two week period and I am still getting texts/emails telling me a package is ready for pickup. Again just want to emphasize - do not live here!

Do you have any openings for a 1bedroom
Hi Aila, Yes! All of our apartment homes have a washer and dryer. We also have a washer and dryer available on the roof deck for oversized items. Best regards, The Union Place team
