Yes at the administration building at the cemetery.
They will remove artificial flowers. Live flowers are allowed but the maintenance removes them once they start drooping.
Only the administration is closed on weekends. The Cemetery is open 7 days a week from dawn to dusk
Hello Chico. Yes we have both casket and cremation plots available. Currently we are adding a columbarium and new crypt section to keep us open for a long time.
Only veterans and their "eligible dependents" may be buried at Culpeper National Cemetery. An eligible dependent is defined as a veteran's spouse, a veteran's unmarried child younger than 21 years old, or a veteran's unmarried adult child who before the age of 21 became permanently incapable of self-support because of a physical or mental disability.
The cemetery never closes. The gates remain open 24/7. It is only staffed from 8:00-4:30 Monday-Friday.
The cemetery has a record of his dates of military service, but not an actual copy of his discharge certificate. Please call the cemetery office at (540) 825-0027 for more information.
