I like the area. Good free spot to camp.on a slope. Did the best I could to be level. Went into Branson a few times.got groceries at local kirbyville store. Enjoyed the view.

Such a beautiful place and miles to hike. Many different snakes to see from pygmies to garter to timber rattlers. So many different animals and good spot to forage for food. Chicken of the woods, morels and much more. If you don't want to hike bring a horse and ride the trails. Opposite side there is a gun range. I love this place. Sometimes there are too many people but thats ok. Its a place to get away and focus on peace of mind. Good fun for the family. Also there is a little creek the kiddos play in if it's hot outside. All in all one of my favorite places!!!!

It wasn't so much the place itself it was the squatters there that stood from tents when the owners weren't there at the time. I witnessed 5 separate thefts and when called the conservation department they did absolutely nothing, then called the sherrifs department and still nothing was done, canceled put trip 5 days short because I didn't want to take a chance of mine or my children's things coming up missing. Such a sad thing that a family can't camp comfortably without worrying about being robbed.

A pleasant walk down an unused road through the conservation area. We only went as far as the creek because my dog is old and it was a hot day. Probably a great place for bird watching.

I can easily bring a ford explorer through 3 out of 4 of the creek crossings. I haven't been out to the last one in awhile but should be ok, just use good judgment (I wouldn't bring my tiny car in, if water is over 2'. Any suv, truck, etc. will be ok.)
Area I open toilets are opencovid has had no effect
Yes. Bull Sholes lake and a creek at Mincy.
As per MO Dept of Conservation during the special managed hunt period and with a permit acquired through the managed hunt system you can only use muzzleloader method firearms...otherwise hunting with firearms is prohibited...you can bow hunt under statewide seasons and limits except that archery any deer permits may be used. Also if you're at the campground over by the toilets you can find paper pamphlets with all the info and a map of the area. Have fun and hopr5this helped
