Worst part of my Friday. Seeing the hours posted on the website as 8:30am to 4:30pm, I rushed out of work to reach the office in time. I was met by a kind security guard who helped direct me to the licensing office. Unfortunately, I was then met by an upset couple who informed me that the licensing office was closed. I grabbed a form and walked in to confirm they were closed. I was met by three older white women sitting at their desks. No one acknowledged me. I was met a nasty snide remark of "do you have a question?". I answered that I wanted to know if it was one form for marriage licenses. She said yes and that they reopened on Monday. It would be nice if hours were posted correctly and staff would be cordial with constituents. Extremely unprofessional.

Went to get a marriage license. Called beforehand and listened to the automated marriage license info (because God forbid you get to talk to someone in person when calling an office anymore) and it says the hours are from 8:30-4:30pm. Took off work early and drove 40 minutes in the snow to get there before 4:30. Filled out the application and then was told their office actually closes at 4, not 4:30pm, and that I should come back on Monday before 3:30pm to get it processed. So now I have to take off work again and drive all the way down there. How hard is it to place updated hours on the website so people don’t waste their time.

Whatever county your divorce was granted, you can go to the courthouse and request a certified copy.
Go down to the lowest level to the clerks office, provide your ID and case number.

The court house is open and a virtual assistant is available
So here it is. Weddings are on a first come first serve basis. When we got married in 2011, we went to the Circuit court to get the Marriage license, the. A month later we returned to get married and they just called us back. Not sure if things changed 10 years ago
What do you mean clearance? The judge I think has to file a show cause for not showing up or you can ask if you can. I would also use the self help center at the court house they are wonderful there
If it was in Anne Arundel County...then you can go to the License Department located at the courthouse at 8 Church Circle, Annapolis, MD. 21401.

Go to the Civil Clerk ( room 100 ) at Circuit Court.
Call the court.
The answer to this question is fairly involved. The best thing to do is talk to whomever you go for tax advice.
The system is broke.
