Never leave anything in the rental car, especially if you drop off with Avis at Albany International Airport. They don’t answer the phone. No one is even there. I called corporate to complain and even they admitted that the location is not well run.

Follow car rental signs into the parking garage.
You mite be able to drop it in a lock box where the key and they will send you a receipt usually this boxes in the garage at the booth you might want to try to check in the terminal also usually this late flights and they might still be there good luck
