We parked across the street in a grassy area set aside for section hikers of the Appalachian Trail. You can register your car online for a free extended stay. Note: The AT nearest the library is Southbound. You have to walk through Damascus to take the steps up to the northbound trail. This will provide you a chance for one final meal in town.

My kids love this library and the women working there are always helpful. Great selection of books and movies, and they're always having activities for kids.
