A wonderful experience!!! Everything was perfect from Jonathan (valet), to Memory at the front desk who went our of her way to accommodate and make sure we were happy and comfortable, The Skyline rooftop bar was relaxing, easy, friendly comfortable with friend staff, Kristina, Caroline & Gracie were extremely cordial and helpful. Breakfast at the Marigold (????) bar was so easy, and friendly. Food was good, omelette was great and large (could’ve have split one) everyone was so very friendly. Dinner at William & Henry’s on the lower level was upscale and extremely good. Especially because of the bar tender, Jamie, the manager, Jamie and Liza. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were happy with where we were. And we were. Our room was so very clean and well appointed!!! The bed was extremely comfortable, the bathroom was large with 2 sinks vanity, soaking tub and separate shower as well as there was a private water closet. The robes in the room were a very nice treat!!! Our room had 3 windows and brought in great light and dark shades as we need. Loved everything about The Virginia Lynchburg, Curio Collection by Hilton!!!

Simply put, the Virginian is a premiere location to stay in the heart of downtown. Service is impeccable with attention to detail and convenience always. They consistently had excellent valets that could retrieve your vehicle promptly. Some of the minor details are an abundance of umbrellas in case you ever need one, they have one. The rooms are beautifully detailed with exquisite tiling in the bathroom. They provide an amazing robe that is super soft on the inside and you just want to snuggle up in. When you stay there they have two restaurants that are musts. Skyline is a bar at the top of the hotel with some amazing views. Cocktails are well made but be careful if you're going off the menu. William and Henry is in the bottom of the hotel and is an excellent steakhouse. Great service, white tablecloth, and pricey menu; but worth it if that's what you're in the mood for. The location of the hotel is perfect for walking distance to all the great restaurants and bars in the revitalized downtown area. We had a great time and we'll definitely be back

The "city view" is a parking lot (attached a photo of this "city view"), the soaking tub stopper required maintenance to come replace it, the phone was broken (still won't charge) - the street noise was loud (motorcycles and cars all night) and for some reason horns keep getting beeped in the parking lot all morning. The thermostat only goes to 67 and the room was warm all night even after calling the front desk where I was assured it would be set lower - still shows 67 and still feels much warmer. All in all, we should have stayed elsewhere. The ambiance is nice and it's a "pretty" hotel but they fail at the basic functions that even cheap hotels seem to get right consistently. The few upsides: it's "pretty", the duvet cover is soft, the bath robe is nice if you find occassion to use it.... that's pretty much it.

Spent two nights here during Easter weekend to celebrate a birthday and it was such a positive experience! Loved being able to walk to everything in downtown, and the front desk helped us call a cab back to the airport at the end of our stay. Plenty of great restaurants of all kinds within a 15-minute walking distance. We ate at Shoemaker's, Depot Grille, Bootleggers, and more during our trip. All great places to try. The room was huge and very nicely updated. The entire facility is beautiful. I definitely recommend it to anyone staying in Lynchburg for a short stay.

Once the steakhouse on the lower level opens, it is supposed to be unique to the area. If you are looking for a great dining experience in the hotel I'd wait for that to open.
