This beach is awesome! Calmer waves due to the piers that extend out passed the Portage Lake channel. There are beach dunes to climb too. Stay on the well-worn paths. There are very likely dune conservation efforts to regrow dune grasses and trees for erosion. Parking is limited. Bathroom facilities are limited. Very thankful for this public beach access to Lake Michigan!

Great public "beach access" aka lake. Nice to walk to ends of lighthouses way out in the water. Beautiful clear water with public restrooms too! If you get lucky you may see a turtle or 2

It is a very beautiful place to stay. It is very good to swim and play here.

Lovely beach, a locals only-type, as you have to drive way past the Portage Point Inn! There's a one-room changing area with a pit toilet, 2 gazebos, a VERY nice handicap walkway down to the lake, and a pier with a lighthouse. There are four fire rings, usually, if you want to have a nice beach fire at sunset.
