I had a terrible experience with Phoenix Pride after they announced an official after party after Pride, I was quick to buy tickets for me & my boyfriend. After arriving, Walter Warehouse informed us they are a 21+ venue & that my boyfriend & our other friend who accompanied us would be unable to go into the establishment. They were unable to refund us at the venue & told us that this was Phoenix Pride’s issue & gave us all the contact information we needed. We left that night very frustrated because the after party was not cheap, not to mention this event was false advertised, show cased all over social media which NEVER stated anywhere that it was a 21+ venue & could of very well been a 18+ venue but it didn’t clarify on the Phoenix Pride website or Walter Warehouse’s website. I saw a lot of people turned away that night after buying tickets. My friend was refunded the next day when he called easily but when we called Phoenix Pride told us that this was a Walter Warehouse issue & to take it up with them then referred us to the ticket company. They were unable to refund us even though our friend was refunded? I don’t understand how that makes sense. It seems like nobody wants to do their job & nobody wants to be held responsible for the false advertisement of an event. We’ve gotten dozens of apologies but it’s not enough when you took our money. It’s honestly sad that an LGBTQ+ establishment made to get together & express ourselves & our culture take advantage of the very youth of the community for financial gain.

Questions & Answers

Hi all! I was wondering if there are any pride parade or awareness events coming up in Phoenix? As an Ace, I wanted to be able to support/protest if we have any public gatherings (with proper social distancing/health guidelines). Thank you :)

Well, yesterday and today will be the Phoenix Rainbow Festival. It has been switched with the Pride festival now being held around November. Today will mostly be an outdoor event with live entertainment food, and community. This is a family friendly event, all ages. I do suggest wearing a mask though. Not necessarity for COVID-19 but if you're not from Downtown Phoenix, the smog + the dust can really cause trouble breathing.
