Pros: Close to downtown St. Ignace, close to the beach for amazing sunsets, very family friendly with lots of amenities for kids, bath facilities were decent/clean enough. Appreciated that they offered firewood, ice and basically anything you needed like water hose delivery to your campsite, sites further in the back felt more private. Cons: Our site in the back was all dirt - no grass with ample tree coverage…which meant it was always muddy and never dried. We noticed some RV sites had a nice permanent patio structure built into the ground. Would have paid more for this if there were availability. However with that said, the RV sites closest to main building seemed very packed with minimal outdoor space to stretch. Not sure if it’s the camp layout or if folks are just parking big RVs next to each other.

Campground was fairly small but the location was perfect for visiting mackinac island. The free shuttle to the ferry was very convenient. The grounds are pretty. We were at site 11 and the highway noise was pretty significant so be aware of that. Kids enjoyed playing tetherball and riding their bikes around. We would stay here again.

We don't stay at a lot of KOA campgrounds but for the ones we have this was a good one. The staff were friendly, they texted and delivered firewood, they had thngs for the kids to do including a new inflatable jumping pad. They had a tie dye t shirt day that we couldn't attend at the scheduled time but they accommodated our kids and helped them at a time we could be there. Lynette and team were great.

We spent a week at this KOA meeting old friends. I’ve never had a campground do so much to make our visit the best. Delivered a large bundle firewood to our campsite at a price better than we could go out and buy. They worked with us when a site closer to our friends opened. Rearranged other reservations to let us stay in this site the rest of the week. Along with refunding the price difference, then brought their “honey wagon” to empty our tanks. We hope we can come back someday. Definitely recommend this place to RVers!

The box outside of the office had last names written on the camp map too
Lots of updates the last time we stayed will very much enjoy returning. I thought the daily price was excellent.
