Quick answer it really depends. If it is a large amount I believe a reduction in price makes sense for you, the buyer and the seller. If a small amount $ 10 k, a credit towards closing might make more sense. If all cash, reduction.
That all depends on what you are looking for. There are several areas. The Hollywood Hills is composed on Hollywood Hills East and Hollywood West. Highland/Cahuega is the divider. Hollywood Hills East has a few very popular areas, The Dell, Cherokee, Lake Hollywood to name a few. The West has even more,Laurel Canyon, Outpost Estates, Mount Olympus, Sunset Plaza area, Birds Streets, Doheny Estates. Best is to get in the car and start driving the neighborhoods.

You must be 55 year old + to be able to use. This proposition allows you once you sold your home to buy a new property up to your selling price or below and essentially have the same tax basis as the home you sold. This is huge as property tax will remain the same.
