When I was looking for a knee surgeon, I chose Dr. Firestone. Why? I know there are risks with surgery. If there were complications, I wanted an experienced surgeon who could help me get to the best outcome possible. When a failed knee replacement became my reality, I trusted Dr. Firestone would help me. Instead, Dr. Firestone failed me. I suffered from day one after my knee replacement surgery. I could not bend my knee. Dr. Firestone insisted the knee was perfect and told me he was tired of hearing I was not happy. The pandemic slowed things down but I managed to see a few surgeons. They all diagnosed a failed knee replacement. A few months ago, I had a much-needed knee revision surgery. Today, I am no longer crippled: I can finally walk without a significant limp; I can bike and hike again. I still reflect on my decision to go with Dr. Firestone based on his experience. I now realize the best surgeons also possess empathy, compassion, and integrity. These are qualities I did not see in Dr. Firestone.

Dr. Firestone is very knowledgeable, caring and professional. Jeanette, his nurse practitioner, has the same qualities as well, and it is a real pleasure to work with her. His office runs smoothly. Everything with my hip surgery and recovery period went great. My hip is pain free and I am back to doing all of the things I want to do.

I was fortunate to have Dr. Firestone replace both knees at same time 2 years ago. Great results, no pain, I was 72 years old. Thanks to Dr. Firestone and his crew I had great results, I researched replacement surgery thoroughly and am fortunate he accepted me as a patient. For the results he was very INEXPENSIVE. Did what he said he would. Thanks doesn't seem enough. Highly recommend, you can feel confident just do what he says. He will tell you the way it is. Know he is one of the best if not the best.

Dr Firestone performed hip replacement surgery about 5 years ago and to this day, i still have pain in my leg with nerve entrapment due to the second surgery (to fix the infection from the 1st surgery). He had told me that he did not have infections, which is not true. After that surgery, he still charged for treatments to help the pain which never worked and were ineffective. He is all about the money, with a horrible bedside manner and is arrogant as hell, and does not take insurance. I would recommend other opinions and careful consideration about using him.

No.
Hello, John - Dr. Firestone does not use iovera. We use conventional cold therapy after knee replacement.
Yes, Dr. Firestone does revisions. He has taken on challenging revision cases with life-changing results.
