under new management. Popular hotel for AzTrail and GETrail hikers. rooms are decent size with old sheets and old bedcovers. They have a recycle canister in the room but they throw the recycles into the trash. they have a laundromat and a small kitchen area. Nice central courtyard to hang out.

Adding to the owners comment on Nathan Boswells review. We were given room 53 and found that it was occupied by someone and when we went back to the front desk about it, the receptionist was very vulgar about it and that "they shouldn't have been in that room" so we were handed keys to room 62 when I guess we were supposed to be in 63. We stayed 3 nights in 62 and when we got off of graveyard we thought we had another night, but due to having to sleep during the day and completely forget what day was what and had planned to call the same day when we woke to get another night charged to our card, even though the lady standing at our door, as we packed our things, said we can't call and charge another night over the phone yet I have called before having Angela, the owner answer, and her charge us another night. We never had "multiple keys" to your hotels rooms. I might add that we have stayed in multiple hotels in Pinal County and Gila county that also hold venues such as weddings, birthdays, etc. And have never paid such prices as we have had at the GKI. Unfortunately this hotel is the closest we have to work, otherwise we would have DEFINITELY stayed somewhere else. So to people who read reviews on hotels, be prepared for rude and vulgar receptionists, and random people walking into your rooms... because it has happened to us multiple times in the months that we have rented from the GKI (and no it was not housekeeping).

I've been in a lot of motels around the U.S. and this by far is the most friendliest after the margo fire I was welcomed by the entire staff and given a paid room for more than a few days. the rooms have got to be sound proof since I heard no hwy or any sound from outside. The entire place is clean and they have a kitchen and laundry room. Thank you GKI I'm forever grateful.
