If you have more than 5 boxes they ask you to make an appointment but they are fantastic and helpful. This is nice to give you flexibility if you can't do it on Tuesday.
Hi Robert! Thanks for your question!! The county's Material Recovery Facility located at 420 Century Court, Franklin does not accept residential recycling. It is for commercial and government recycling processing only and is operated by a private contractor. The "MRF" serves as the county's recycling hub, where convenience center recycling comes to be baled and marketed in the next step in the recycling life cycle. For residential recycling, please visit one of Williamson County's 10 convenience centers. Here is the link to the list: http://www.williamsoncounty-tn.gov/1846/Convenience-Centers Your empty power washer can be recycled in the mixed metal bin at any of the 10 convenience center locations. Any leftover waste gasoline should be disposed of safely through a household hazardous waste collection. Here is more information about "HHW": https://www.williamsoncounty-tn.gov/158/Household-Hazardous-Waste I hope this thoroughly answers your question! Thanks again for checking!
The MRF is not open to the public. All recycled materials must come from within Williamson County limits for us to accept them. We recycle plastics #1 & #2, glass, tin, aluminum, paper, and cardboard for residents only through the use of our Convenience Centers. To view a list of Convenience Centers, visit our website at: https://www.williamsoncounty-tn.gov/1846/Convenience-Centers If you are commercial, you can contact the MRF directly to discuss options.
