It does take the train a hot second to arrive but if you hold on and wait for it it does come and it was like 15 mins and then we arrived at ABQ. right on time!! Very nice ride too!$!

It's crazy but no. The only way to do it is to take the train to Chicago transfer to a train to Washington DC and then jump on number 19 that will take you to Atlanta

It's around two hundred bucks but it's a pain to get there. You would have to take number three into Los Angeles, and then get to either Emeryville or Sacramento to get on the California Zephyr going east. It would take you a couple of days to do it.

In a lot of cases the answer is yes because there is padding in the schedule especially going east into Albuquerque.
