I had a reservation at this motel for 10/26/21 - 10/27/21. When I arrived on the afternoon of 10/26, I discovered that the motel was completely uninhabitable as a result of a flash flood which occurred on September 2, 2021 and was subsequently condemned by the Wayne County, Utah Building Inspector. My complaint about this motel is that the owner did not have the courtesy to inform reservation guests of this problem. I had to drive 110 miles out of my way to find a room in Green River, Utah. I also met considerable resistance from the owner when trying to get a refund. If this is how OYO Motels run their business, I want nothing to do with them.

There was a massive flooding in the area September 1st, and several of us lost our vehicles and possessions. Not the owners fault, but it was a campground with lovely cabins across the road who put all of us up for the night at no charge. Considering the level of flooding, I am surprised that this motel is being promoted just 3 weeks later. Even before the flood, place was sketchy and we almost didn’t stay.

I stayed 2 nights at OYO while on a 3 month/3000 mile solo bike tour from Seattle. This was a good stay. I thought it good value at $70 plus tax per night. (I have stayed at many motels on this tour). Pros of Oyo: family owned and run. Son Jake was available to show me a room when I stopped by around noon. Mother Tressa did the room cleaning, and was friendly and efficient. Even though I was 3 hours early for check- in, she had my room ready in about 15 minutes. I had a large room #8, with 2 comfortable queen beds, four pillows, space for two bikes, large desk and chair, half size refrigerator, microwave, and small coffee machine. Each bed had its own bedside light and shared a common bedside table. Sink had a workspace around it. Hot shower worked well, although the water took a little time to become hot. Wall-mounted AC worked well. Fiber-optic Wi-Fi was fast day and night (35 Mbps+). I could leave the door ajar on a chain and open the bathroom window, to get fresh air during the night. There was a public laundromat across the road. $1.50 to wash and $1 to dry. It had a chair so one could wait for one’s clothes. Also a detergent dispenser. Change machine was out of coins, so I got coins from the Slickrock reception. Cons: the A/C fan was a little loud. Some of the fittings were a bit old. Neither was significant.

The location is really convenient, especially considering just how many attractions are nearby. The staff was very friendly and responsive. The decor, especially the exterior, is quite dated and I drove right past it the first time. The interior was comfortable, but could also stand to be updated. The beds were actually quite comfortable, which I don't get to say about hotel beds very often, though I will warn you, I prefer beds a bit firmer. I was not aware of breakfast. Not sure if it was cancelled due to COVID-19 or if I was just not paying attention. Overall, I didn't feel like the value was quite there, though I would stay there again in a pinch. It isn't bad, but it could definitely use an update at the price they were charging.

Yes as far as I know it still is
It is. But it's also a dump. You REALLY don't want to stay there.
