No. They will take anything from pianos to old tvs and salvage what they can. They will come into your house or garage and take from there, you don't have to get it to the curb for pickup. Good service for big stuff!
The estimates are free and, indeed, in advance. If you'd like to book one you may do so online or over the phone via the call center. HOWEVER, be aware, if you book an estimate and they ask you a question along the lines of "if the price sounds right could we do the job for you that day?" And you answer "yes" then your appointment will be scheduled as a junk removal and the Truck Team that shows up will be expecting to do the job then. So if you'd like to book an estimate and make sure to confirm that you want only an estimate when you do so. A little more information: the price for a full truck is $598, the price for a half of a truck is $372. a minimum charge, any load that is smaller than a refrigerator, will be $118.
