Arcadia Dunes: The C.S. Mott Nature Preserve

Beautiful place to be. about a mile hike to the dunes, Smaller dune hikes and secluded beach. Great views. Worth checking the place. There are tons of small beaches near by. Arcadia bald trailhead leads to the dunes with a small trail hike. Great for picnic and relaxing on the beaches. The small town has a cute Ice cream shop close by. The trip is an amazing summer getaway. Pet friendly. My dog loved the day out.

We went there to watch the sunset. Got there early, walked a few trails. So beautiful! And we were not disappointed in watching the sun set over the lake.

come at the end of April or the beginning of May to see if Forest littered with Trillium! there's a beautiful dune Vista at the end. A nice 3 mile hike. One part of the hike is wheelchair accessible.

Trails take you to the top of a dune with a beautiful view of the lake. The trails to get to the dune "entrance" are fairly flat and easy. There is a staircase to get up to the dune and a sand trail. You could walk down to the water however it will be extremely challenging to get back up. Let the kids run down and make you a nice spot on top to relax.
