My little girl was sick with her usual issue and I called my vet at 15 til 5, they close at 5. I asked if I could run her in real quick (I live 15 mins away) after being on hold for a bit I was told the dr said if I could be there before 5 then she would see her. Such a disappointment when they don’t care about your pet. CUT TO AHR... I made a phone call to them and they had to get us in as an emergency patient because they had no appointments, but at least they got us in . Dr Downes and the staff are some of the most caring people I think I’ve ever been around. Dr Downes took her time with my little girl and asked me lots of questions about her. She knew that I knew what the issue was and that it happens a lot and what she needed to get through it. (My dog has anxiety and gets worked up sometimes and it causes her to get sick to her stomach and she just needs a shot to calm her tummy) I appreciate the fact that she didn’t do expensive blood work and test that weren’t necessary. I can tell with her it’s more about the animal then it is the money. AHR will now have my business of all 4 of my pups!
