Different styles, some long and some very challenging to climb

The trail was well maintained and the bathrooms were clean. I am an experienced hiker but not in the desert environment and should have chosen one of the easier, longer trails. For completely selfish reasons, I would have appreciated a bench at the summit. Bring plenty of water!

This is a. Super popular hike in Phoenix, about 2.1 miles to the top, done by lots of people training to hike the canyon. Personally, I enjoyed hiking Echo Canyon trail on Camelback more. It's shorter at 1.3 mi but steeper and more challenging, so a more efficient workout to me. Always had trouble at very very top because I am super scared of heights and there's a kinda narrow right area you gotta climb up to touch the metal plaque on the summit, which signifies completion. Awesome views of city at top

You can walk down the sidewalk and road and still get a workout from the incline. The trail on the mountain is not paved so you can't walk up there pushing a stroller.
