Campground host was kind & polite. Toilets are portapoties. Think there are blue Jay's in the tree cause had black gunk on my car in the morning. Blue Jay's use tar to prevent squirrels from getting to their nests. Camp areas are mostly private, some shrubs but don't entirely seclude. Not the best camp but not worst either. I needed a spot for the night and this was only area I knew.

Great campground with direct access to atv trails and kid friendly atv trails around camp. Basic toilets, but no running water. Come prepared! Camp hosts are very friendly and are a great source of information!

Beautiful and quiet place. Open the latest of nearby camp grounds in capital forest. Well worth the trip regardless of the weather. Campsites are nearby each other, but plenty of space between you and neighboring campers. Bathroom is usually a bit off-putting, but at least it encourages people from staying in there for long I suppose. Highly recommend this site overall

This campground is in the Olympic National Forest and managed by the WA State Department of National Forest. You can stay free for 7 days in a 365 day period. Pit toilet only, no trash recepticals ( pack out what you bring in). The hiking trail is shared with atv's, quads, and dirt bikes. There is constant gun fire from wherever the front folks go to target practice.. generally, 10am till dusk

No they are closed for the season
The park is closed from May til the end of November for camping and the trail's are closed to motorized traffic. The Campground is open to foot traffic on the off season as well as the trail's.
Yes it is!
We got a spot everytime . I'm sure after today there will be a spot tomorrow
No, you need to have a current Discover Pass.
1st come 1st serve this camp ground is more for if you have ATV or dirt bike to be able to ride directly from campsite to trails but anyone else welcome regardless but just know you will see them come through the campground all throughout the day
The trails door not support side by sides.
No. There is not unfortunately. But plenty of camp sites on 3 different "loops" (A loop, B loop, and C loop) and very nice camp hosts.
Yep open for camping till November and just told everyone this last weekend no more fires.
Yes you can they have fire pits there
While I was there a full size motor home (the size of a bus) was there.
It's first come first serve and I've stayed there twice. Nothing seen about check out times
Just have to have a discover pass that covers your car or truck
No showers. There is a Creek that runs behind the campground. We will be open until December 1st and campsites are available on a first come first serve basis as we don't do reservations. Every campsite has a firepit.
Unfortunately if the website says closed it will be closed.
Waddell Creek campground is located just outside the Black Lake area. It's a cute site. They have bathrooms, groomed areas to set up your camp. There is a gun range just down the road about 1/2 a mile. The camp hosts Amy and Marty are wonderful. They have firewood there that you can also purchase if you are in need.
If you read the fine print it is 7 days in a 365 day year any State Park
It is open year round to foot traffic but is officially open for camping and riding trails from the first weekend in May til the last day of November.
Yesif by dry camp only he means there are no water hook ups for trailers thats true, however, people are more than welcome to bring containers and pack water from the camp hosts outside water spicket in front of their trailer
We don't close them unless we get an abundance of late night traffic.
Nope. Just fill in the sheet at the front gate after you pick a spot and enjoy! Its a great spot to ride from
