is the campground open now? does it get packed. if I came now would it be a bad idea to maybe risk not getting a site? and just go in the morning? ty

We got a spot everytime . I'm sure after today there will be a spot tomorrow

It is open yes. Yes weekends are packed by Mid day Thursday to Mid day Friday for the weekend. You have a good chance at grabbing a spot tomorrow but it is first come first serve. There are 2 other free campgrounds close by though.
