Today I was so grateful to be overscheduled...asour sweet Miss Butters under went major surgery, TPLO osteotomy on both her knees. A week ago she all of a sudden could no longer walk. Tonight she is recovering at Oakdale Veterinary Group after a successful procedure. The kindness, professionalism, and thoroughly thought out discharge instructions doesn't leave any rock unturned. I highly recommend OVG for your fur babies ❣️

I don't know what there regular fee is but for urgent care it was about $85. I will say are the nicest people I have ever taken any of our dogs to.

Is Dr. Ned Trathan a Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon?

Mary Howell | Oct 5, 2021
Oakdale Veterinary Group | Nov 9, 2021

Dr Ned Trathan attended vet school in the United Kingdom. He completed his surgical internship in orthopedics and neurosurgery at Fitzpatrick Referrals, UK. Dr Trathan then moved to the United States and worked at and purchased Oakdale Veterinary Group. Dr Trathan is not a board certified surgeon. To become board certified you must complete a 3 year residency under a board certified surgeon. Due to family commitments and running the veterinary hospital Dr Trathan has elected not to pursue a residency to gain the title of 'board certified surgeon'. Dr Trathan has over a decade of experience in orthopedics and attends many orthopedic training courses to further his knowledge. Due to his surgical abilities, case outcome and excellent customer service, he has gained the trust of numerous veterinarians throughout Northern California and enjoys receiving numerous weekly referrals. His case load is almost entirely limited to referral surgery at this point.
