Great overall campground! I'm not sure if all camp sites offer the same utilities, but ours had water and electricity and it was a great price compared to other local campgrounds. Location is great with trails, river for wading, several showers and clean bathrooms. Playground in the middle of campground. Gates close at night so no non campers can enter the premises for your safety. Will definitely be back again!

We love Barton Campground! It's great for this single mom when I'm looking for a quick get away. It's not far out, it's close enough to town that I can run grab something if I need to, it's got a playground, flushing toilets and showers. It's not to isolated so I feel safe when it's just me and the little guy. And, the river is right there with lots of safe spots to play.

I've seen much nicer showers when camping (we camped in the East Campgrounds), but at least both the men's room and the ladies room has changing tables. That being said, the handicapped stall in the girls room won't lock shut. The play structures are decent with several different ways to climb up them. There's also a crazy huge chair perfect for goofy photos. My main complaint is the huge lack of sidewalks for anyone if they don't have a car to drive to the nearby convenience store. (Trimet will bring you a little under half a mile to the park entrance.) The nearest bus stop and store is about half a mile away, but the #30 bus can take you to Fred Meyer, Dollar Tree, Taco Bell, McDonald's, and some other potentially handy places like a coin laundromat.
