I was referred to stay here by one of my friends because of the location being close to the expressway however it is the worst mistake I’ve ever made. There has been many issues starting with a broken dishwasher that leaked large amounts of smelly water all over the floor. I have damaged maybe 30 towels trying to soak up the dirty water. I reported it, they claimed it was fixed however it started again damaging more of my towels and causing an odor in the apartment. About a month ago, I spotted a mouse running through my apartment. One of my neighbors informed me she also saw mouse droppings and no one did any inspections or extermination’s until I reported the mouse sighting and requested that they notify everyone. The worst of all is that there was a flood into my apartment from the outside that damaged my belongings. Items including my college degree and momentous/pictures from my diseased mother. I had renters insurance as required which did not help me because the damage came from the building outside. My insurance did not cover a dime of my loss. Wendy stated that Rookwood Properties does not cover any losses (even though my claim was denied because the water came from cracks in the building, not from inside the apartment) so after everything I’ve experienced, I also lose out of my property and items that are truly irreplaceable. My mother’s items are damaged and I CAN NEVER REPLACE THOSE ITEMS! And they truly don’t care about your loss, even if they say they do. The right thing would be to cover my losses since they are responsible but because of a policy, I have to lose out.

I've lived here for 3 or 4 years now and sad to be moving on, but only because I'm relocating. It truly is the best place to live! Wendy is absolutely amazing and maintenance gets it right the first time. The convenience of being so close to I74 and all the Western Hills shopping makes it perfect! I have loved every moment living in these apartments and if I should move back to town, this is the only place I will come to!

I lived at Pine Ridge apartments for about 2 years and a half and I rarely ever had issues in my apartment. I lived in a 2 bedroom with a roommate and then eventually a 1 bedroom. Maintenance was great and always came in a timely manner. Wendy, the apartment manager, is extremely nice and friendly. She usually remembers her residents name and its so welcoming. I think rarely I had an issue with noise and smell. I think it really depends on who is your neighbor. However, if you talk to Wendy about it she does everything she came to resolve the issue and make you feel comfortable. The apartments are little old but they are clean and well-kept. The prices are affordable. I would recommend this place to anybody.

A good place to live. The manager, Wendy, is absolutely amazing, and maintenance is remarkably friendly and on top of things. Most issues get attention that same day. There are a few noise problems at times but nothing too serious when all is said and done. They aren't the nicest apartments--some cracked paint and such. They're old. But the responsiveness of maintenance and management makes it all worth it. My only complaint is the cigarette smoke smell. It may just be my apartment, but I swear that the people below me are smoking cigarettes and I can smell it much more than I'd care to.
