A cooler camping spot near Las Vegas to beat the heat. While it's 100 in Vegas, it's 80 here. There are no amenities and there is litter on the ground. The campground is in a basin so it is prone to flash flooding so if there if rain in the forecast, think again about camping here. A firetruck was going around warning people about the rain coming this Monday and possibly Tuesday.

I stayed in a dispersed site overlooking the canyon campground. It was one of the more beautiful views I have had. Can get very windy at times. Good cell service. Looks like a long hike would take you to the rim of red rock canyon but I didn't try. Convenient to Vegas

A nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the city, and a big temperature difference from Las Vegas. If would be nice if people who use this place would keep it clean. People leave trash behind because they are not responsible enough to store it in their car to throw away when they get back to their house. Sad... but majority of the time, its clean. Let's continue to keep it that way, please!

I have no idea why it would close, it's BLM, camp at your leisure. First come, first serve.
I’m not sure f the elevation, but I have a 38’ class A w/toad. The road in is paved, not the best, but not dirt either. It’s not as open as say the desert of Quartzsite, AZ, I had to travel a bit to find a space, because as you probably know we don’t like to be too close to others 🤪. I’m kinda off the road, but there is access beyond me, so I’ve had a bit of traffic coming by, however I got here fairly late and just wanted to stop. Hopes this helps
35 miles to center strip.
The main road is paved, but all the side roads to various sites are unpaved. Some are pretty flat/accessible for sedans. Others you may need higher clearance vehicle, 4x4.
I left there yesterday. I never saw your dog I'm praying you find him. I am so sorry he is lost. Let the fire dept and ranger know about him., when you see them driving by doing their rounds.
You don't. Its all dispersed camping, first come first serve. No longer than 14 days
No. This is primitive camping. No toilets. No water. No dump station. No dumpsters.
That is an area that had a wild fire years ago
No hookups im aware of. The beauty of the self contained experience can not be drawn from the socket of the grid.
Its paved from 160 to Torino Ran h turn off great views of snow. Will be slushy on Lovell Summit Rd. Unpaved, may need fwd. OIIIIIO
No all free
Camping is free!
