Vitas Dayton, OH Due to inconsistent availability and lack of communication I cannot recommend this company. Some services were good but fail in nursing and aides available. We had to find another and on day of discharge they take away my mothers walker without notification to get her a replacement before they took it? Medicare was certainly billed for it and the driver they paid to pick it up probably cost more than the walker was worth. Highly questionable and frankly absurd they would do this.

At Vitas we have nurses who make home visits on a regular basis. They in collaboration with a team (including a physician, a Social Worker, and other nurses on the team) direct the care needed. There is never a charge fir Hospice care. It is billed through your insurance, whether it I s commercial ins, Medicare, or Medicaid. We also supply medical equipment as needed.
