Framark Place Apartments- Age 55+

So, we lived at Framark for four years. Never had a late rent payment. Our last month here, we had an unexpected financial crisis. I told Sermar about it; told them I would keep them posted on what transpires. One day later, I get a threatening typed letter (not a legal document), stating if they don't get their rent (amount was only 288.), we would be evicted. Mind you, they had $790. in deposits. I guess when you are millionaires, every penny counts, you know, for trips, cars, etc. I would NEVER recommend a Sermar property simply because they are vultures, not good people. As of today, 3/24, I still have not received my deposit money because they know how many negative reviews I have posted, and that is pretty awful. I plan to contact the Atty. General, and the BBB if they try to keep monies that do not belong to them. I videotaped the apartment, so I have proof if I need it. I hoped they would do what's right, and like most corporations, have not. In New York, the landlord always wins, but in this case, I will do everything I can to ensure what is fair and right transpires. Laws should be changed because not every tenant is destructive, and lax when it comes to paying rent. I did receive my security deposit minus two charges that were blatant lies. They charged me for a dirty tub and refrigerator which I cleaned; I have video. They also neglected to give me the interest for four years so I am reporting them to the Attorney General. I already posted on the BBB website as I knew they would 'steal' money that did not belong to them.

My mother lived here until she got sick. What a wonderful community. The apartments are very comfortable and the people very friendly. Tom, the manager does a great job taking care of the property and is nice to everyone.
