This is a lovely evening/tent campground just inside McCall city limits. The amenities are great! Beautiful clean bathroom/showers. A small store on the property with a few essentials. A great playground area for the kids. We got confused about checkout time… it’s 11am and we thought it was 1:00. They were very understanding!!!

We met my parents here, them from Oregon, us from Utah. This was our first RV campground ever in 6 years of camping. I can’t make comparisons because of that, but this campground was awesome! All the horror stories I hear of being in campgrounds didn’t happen here. It was as quiet as an RV park could be. The owners are awesome and Stacey hooked me up with a great place to fish. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 days here. We only went into the bathrooms right before we left as we dumped the tanks, and we thought they looked very clean and well kept. The little general store was nice to grab ice and beer from and had essentials for trailer life. The location was great, plenty of mature trees for additional shade and the property well maintained. We would definitely come back and stay at the Black Bear RV Park. We would highly recommend this park as a great place to stay.

This park is was the biggest disappointment. It was like staying in a gravel pit with no shade or space. We had booked a month stay and after trying to make this work, we decided we needed to move on. We had only been there 5 days of a 30 day stay. When we told the park owners we were checking out early she got really hostile when we asked about a refund. We expected to pay some penalty but they refused to refund ANY of the prepayment. We talked with the gentleman he seemed to be more responsible about it and said if they could rent the space they would give us a credit. As we stayed in the area we checked daily to see if the space got rented out. Sure enough with in 3 days they had a trailer in the spot. When I emailed them about the details of a refund they would not respond. BUYER BEWARE. This is the worst park with many more gravel only spaces than grass.

This park has excellent potential given its location and general layout. Bathrooms are nice with clean and warm showers. Equally nice laundry facility. Mostly gravel with concrete pads for parking. One central sewer dump only. It sides to a residential area separated by a fence. A bit of a trash problem today (Monday) with bins overflowing and many bags sitting beside the dumpsters in an ugly heap. Bicycling into town is a little on the dangerous side with not much road apron to use but it's only a little more than a mile. Grassy areas around the sites are nice that could be manicured for a more finished appearance but somewhat typical for RV parks we have visited. General store on site is nicely stocked. McCall is a lovely town definitely worth visiting.
