Great YMCA. Facilities are great. I wish they opened earlier on Sunday, but otherwise the hours are great. I take my daughter to childwatch and she loves it. Great staff.

We joined Riverwalk for the Summer but will hit all the water parks we can. Only been once to Baxter so far. Really like the pool set up but one thing I thought was interesting and maybe it will change but the pool closes at 6pm. Seems pretty early for the Summer. With so many working families that probably get off at 5 it's pretty difficult for them to make it to the pool. I'm willing to bet you get MORE folks to sign up if the pool was open a little later. Would a small compromise work where the pool closes say at 7 a couple of days a week like a Tues or Wed? It's just 1 more hour for the staff who are already there but a good # of families could now make it to the pool a couple of times after work. The Y gets more members, lifeguards make a bit more $ and families get out together and enjoy that cool set up. A win win win for all parties.

Was very dissatisfied with the Soccer Team for the young ones. We played for another organization last year, and it was very well organized and the coaches worked so good with the kids! They tried to form some kind of relationship with them and make it fun. The very first day I was a little upset because no one introduced themselves, or the kids didn’t get an icebreaker to know each other or anything. If that would have been my daughter’s first year, she would have never done it. My daughter had no sort of encouragement/constructive Criticism on the team she was on. (Unless the guys over the program filled in) which he was awesome with them! She didn’t know anymore than she did last year, and wasn’t pushed to do better.

First, I will say that I used to love coming here and have always really enjoyed this Y. However, I called this morning and apparently they've changed their policy to not allow people who live locally to buy day passes for the pool. :( I honestly think it's ridiculous that they want to strong-arm local people (who's taxes are going to the same community that this Y is in,) into a membership, when there are some of us that would need a membership just to use the pool. We have a gym set up in our home that we use so we would pretty much only need it for the 3 months that the outdoor pool is open, unless for my daughter's swim lessons... alternatively, if they had a pool-membership plan, that would be perfect for those of us that would use the membership exclusively for that...
