Rib eye I gave it a 2 out of ten I ordered 1 medium it was over cooked and dry 1 to go for my mom rare she gave it a 5 out of 10 cooked properly but low quality meat the service excellent the environment a 10 I do not believe it's grass feed beef but also I have know facts to back it up tasted like a walmart steak my appetizers shrimp cocktail 7 out of ten to that's good ... I'm a picky person that's likes great food so take my review at hand. 4 Years ago I had a new York strip I gave it a 8.2 out of ten .so i was sadly not satisfied... I'm not sure if things changed on meat distribution but this is my honest review

Spectacular - wish I could rate 6 stars! First, absolutely wonderful staff (special shout-out and thanks to fabulous helpful Hostess Dru and knowledgeable attentive Server Brady!)! Second, delicious food & drink. Started with marvelous margaritas. Then, Brady's exquisite description of the crusted Lemon Pepper Walleye special was both compelling and accurate - impossible to resist, and delightful to enjoy. The Bourbon Grilled Salmon was also excellent! Save room for dessert - Creme Brulee was sooo good! Third, amazing ambiance. Dru helped make a first date extra special by seating us right by the window overlooking the river and sunset. Fourth, surprisingly affordable. I've paid much more for a much less satisfying dining experience. Note that Management advises calling in advance to make a reservation, and also notes that river-view seating can't be guaranteed. I heartily recommend McGraw's for a lovely dining experience!

First, some history: According to their website, the building that now houses McGraw's has been part of the history of Tippecanoe County for nearly two hundred years. The building and its property served various functions—an inn for a few years, a boathouse for a few years more. In 1948, the building was transformed into a restaurant called Stiney’s. As a restaurant, Stiney’s was famous for exactly the sort of food McGraw’s is known for today: delicious steaks, hearty meat entrees, and especially the fresh local catfish. Stiney’s signature cocktail, a delicious concoction of galiano, vodka, orange juice, and ice cream, was named the “whispering river” after the Wabash. In 1999 Stiney’s closed, but was reopened and transformed into McGraw’s Steak Chop & Fish House under the new owner, Todd McGraw. The Crispy Shoestring Onions appetizer was delicious and enough for four people. It is available as a side, also which I wish I had been informed of before I ordered the full size one. The French onion soup was so-so. The cheese was excellent, but some of the onions were in big pieces. Appearances can be deceiving in the case of the Beef Stroganoff. The sauce was very thin and the beef had about one out of four pieces that were inedible because they were fat and gristle. The scenery is unbeatable in West Lafayette. There are outdoor tables which would be wonderful when the temperature allows.

Food was very good. Shoestring onions were amazing. Food service was a little lacking but not enough to lose a star. They also had a great selection of canned craft beer.

Not sure? Might want to call...
Yes they take reservations. Recommended. There is a bar area you can sit at also, but to get a seat there you would need to arrive around 430 or 5pm. Enjoy your meal!
