This review is inspired by a sincere desire to help anyone faced with the daunting responsibility of having to make a life changing decision for a loved one regarding who to trust when choosing a senior care facility. My assessment of Blossom Springs is not just based on architecture, initial impressions, sales material, opulence or hired charm. Rather, these comments emulate from the many emotional ups and downs I’ve endured doing business with a total of 6 senior care facilities since 2015. Needless to say, for me, it’s been a huge yet valuable learning experience. For my dementia stricken wife, based on the care she now receives and the dignity provided to her by staff and leadership alike, as of this writing, Blossom Springs memory care is finally a place we can call home. Comparatively speaking, it has become the best choice in senior care facilities I have yet to make. To date, based on what I have witnessed over the last six months, it has become clear that Blossom Springs leadership implements consistently higher levels of performance objectives for their staff, unlike many of their profit preoccupied competitors. You only need to meet the executive director of Blossom Springs or their directors of nursing, food, operations, housekeeping, etc. to realize a consistent attitude and commitment to service no different than the warm and welcoming demeanor of those greeting you at their front desk. For me, however, the litmus test of most significance pertains to the performance of what I consider to be the lifeline of any senior care community; namely, the caregivers. Since the example that’s set at the top tends to permeate throughout any organization, it was less of a surprise for me to discover that various levels of Blossom Springs’ leadership deem employing higher caliber caregivers an objective of prime importance. Blossom Springs’ caregivers are professional, well trained, focused and committed to the needs and well being of their residents. They take their jobs seriously. They create a far more comforting and less worrisome environment of care as compared to less serious senior care facilities where necessary caregiving attention is sometimes diverted or impeded by the texts, tweets, or instagrams that are either tolerated or ignored. In an industry where services rendered seem all too often mediocre at best - I’m definitely impressed at what Blossom Springs’ staff offer; how they care for my wife; and the responsiveness and receptiveness from leadership to entertain feedback in order to make things even better. As a result, my first impression of Blossom Springs has, so far, become a lasting one as well. I hope their moral compass will never begin to change direction, as I have often witnessed at other senior care communities; where the quest for additional profit ultimately becomes prioritized, revealing a guise where quality care and higher caliber personnel suddenly become expendable in spite of marketing that suggests otherwise. Knowing, however, that Blossom Springs was built, developed and is supported by the Moceri family gives me peace of mind today and is what attracted me initially. The Moceri’s outstanding reputation and commitment for giving back to the community through their many years of building and development endeavors, offers yet another reason why I believe Blossom Springs is definitely worth taking the time to visit and compare when trying to decide who to trust on behalf of those you love.

We transferred my Mother to Blossom Springs from a similar memory care facility this week. Blossom Springs has been the the most comforting and high quality professional facility. There is a positive, calm and caring atmosphere throughout. We feel reassured Mom will receive the best care possible. Thanks to all for making our move in experience welcoming.

a. Standard health insurance such as: Medicare, Medicare Advantage Plans and Supplements do NOT pay for someone to live in Independent, Assisted or Memory Care Communities. However, in certain cases, physical, occupation, speech therapy can be covered by the individual’s insurance. b. In most cases, Long Term Care Insurance DOES cover a portion of the monthly rate to live in Assisted Living or Memory Care.

We staff according to the needs of our residents. The state of Michigan does not require a set number for care staff to resident ratios. Our residents are assessed prior to moving into our community and based on their assessment, are put on a designated level of care. The assessment and level of care determination allows us to staff appropriately based on our residents’ needs.
