I special ordered a mermaid cake for my daughter's first birthday and I couldn't believe just how gorgeous and delicious this cake was!! Everyone commented on how stunning it looked and the strawberry filling was to die for!! Anytime I need a cake (or just want one) this will be the place I get it!! Thank you!

Great cake, great customer service. My wife and I were in Ft. Lauderdale for our anniversary. I did a search for gluten free cakes prior to coming to Florida and this place came up. I called and told them what I wanted. They were very friendly and accommodating. I paid for the cake ahead of time and they set up a time for me to pick it up. We picked it up on a Friday and went back to the hotel. My wife was very surprised and dove right into it as soon as we got back. The cake was delicious!!! It was moist and tasty, if I did not know it was gluten free I would not have known. FYI: They are not a certified gluten free bakery so if you are Celiac, this may not work for you. Update: Ordered a gluten free birthday cake. We are in North Carolina. Again customer service was excellent. Placed the order on 8/8/22 for and 8/12 delivery, the cake arrived on 8/13 which was a bummer. I’m not blaming We take the cakes, that’s why they still have a 5 star. UPS totally dropped the ball on this one. Got a notice that it was “out for delivery” on 8/12 then they changed it to “on the way for 8/13”. We take the cakes shipped it out on 8/10, 3 days to go from FL to NC, come on UPS. On the plus side, the cake was packaged well and was moist and delicious. I will definitely order more cakes from them again.

From beginning to end We Take the Cake was marvelous! I ordered a specialty cake (three layer vanilla cake with strawberry buttercream topping filled with lemon cream cheese and strawberry jam) designed for my daughter-in-law‘s birthday. I sent them a picture and a description and it came out exact. My husband who usually prefers chocolate, tried it, loved it, and had a second helping. I will return for other cakes and pastries in the future. Thanks again to everyone who made this happen!

Remove the plastic wrap while the cake is frozen and place in the refrigerator overnight to thaw. You can also place the cake on the counter at room temperature for 3-4 hours to thaw.

Hello Meredith. I hope you enjoy your cake! Here's what I found. Room temperature is when your cake will taste it's best. If the cake is still frozen, remove the plastic (if it's included) from the cake while it is still frozen and place the bakery box in your refrigerator overnight. When your cake is thawed, remove the bakery box from your refrigerator. Please allow your cake to get to room temperature. This usually is around 2 hours. However if the cake is large or if the room temperature is cooler, please allow extra time for your cake to become room temperature. It's best to leave your cake in it's box while allowing it to set at room temperature. This protects it from elements such as direct sunlight. This also will protect your cake from changes in the cake and sugar coloring. When you are ready to enjoy and serve your cake, take a large knife and run it under hot water. Dry the knife with a clean towel. Cut your serving. Store cake in airtight container in fridge up to 3 days

Hi Nancy, if you go on their website you can find all the options they have. I know for a fact they use sugar as I inquired before about a sugar free option. Not sure about gluten. Hope this helps.
