THE BEST EXPERIENCE! My husband and I brought our 17 yr old daughter and 20 yr old son to the Storyteller’s Farm (our son is a MASSIVE Johnny Cash fan). In short, we came away completely impressed by the property, the memorabilia, and the stories! It truly feels like you’re stepping into grandma and grandpa’s house - authentic, unpretentious, super cozy, but oozing with the spirit of Johnny, June, and their families! It actually feels like you’re just waiting for them to show up from being out of town - it’s nearly indescribable! The owners of the property were out of town, but their friends, Patsy and Rodney, welcomed us in their stead and were incredibly hospitable! I’m telling you, it felt like we were visiting old friends - they were so warm, welcoming, and kind! We were given a generous tour with ample time in the home, the garage, and on the property! My favorite experience was our time with Mark (Mark Alan Cash is Johnny’s nephew). He spoiled us with family stories, personal reflections, and a private concert that not only honored his uncle, but also showcased his own music (my personal request)! Our family was incredibly touched by his transparency, sincere love of family, and approachable demeanor. I can’t say enough good things about him, but I highly recommend buying his CD/t-shirt and paying for ticket if he’s ever singin’ in your town! I wish more people knew about this little slice of heaven Johnny called, “the center of my universe!” It is a gorgeous piece of property with magical landscapes that could mesmerize the most cynical person. No matter how you feel about country music or Johnny Cash, you’ll walk away from this experience humbled and grateful - we sure did!

It was more interesting than I expected. Some walking between house and garage so you should go on a pretty day, there is even picnic tables you could use. Everyone there was very nice and mark cash sang us some songs and even took a request. He has a good voice similar to his uncle. Enjoyed the stories we were told. Has a public restroom and small gift shop.

We loved our visit to Storytellers and Hideaway Farm. By far this was my favorite thing we did while in the Nashville area. It made my trip. If you are in the area you have to check it out. Everyone was so kind and friendly. Mark Cash (Johnnys nephew)sang to us talked with us and told us stories. Such a great experience.

Regular admission is $25, tax included. A typical tour includes a video of the history of the location, and its historical significance, and a live (approx. 30-minute) concert. The tour of the Museum is self-guided. Once you have seen what you want to see, and read what you want to read, you go one mile up the road to the Hideaway Farm, which Johnny Cash owned for over 30 years - He called the Farm "the center of my universe." The tour of the Farmhouse is also self-guided. There is a discounted price for Hickman residents, Dickson residents, and Fairview residents $17. There is a discount for seniors (60+) - $23. There is a discount for students ($17), and children 10 and under are free with a legal guardian. Parking is also free. Go to our website or facebook page for more details.
I would give them a call today and ask. Best way to find out. Or even ask on their Facebook page.
Visitors will tour the hideaway home - built before the Civil War by the prominent Weems family - that Johnny Cash called the center of his universe for over 30 years, and will learn so much more about the man behind the legend. Live mini concerts happen throughout the day, with our talented in-house musicians. Afterward, visitors will be able to tour the Farm itself, seeing things such as Johnny's own vineyard, the barn, and the car shed, where we house several vehicles including the famous One Piece At A Time Cadillac. Visitors are welcome to savor the peace and serenity of the 8-acre field.
