A fascinating tour of our state’s archives! Tour guide Rae did a fabulous job of making records entertaining and leaving us wanting to learn more. A very impressive operation and a lot of cool history abounds! Loved seeing the robots!

Hi James! Please contact our very capable reference archivists for help. You can send a message from https://archives.utah.gov/research/question.html or call 801-245-7227. We share a research center with the Division of State History, between those collections there's a chance to find your photograph.
Please contact the Office of Vital Records and Statistics at https://vitalrecords.health.utah.gov/ to obtain a copy of a Utah birth certificate. Ordering is available securely online.
The Utah State Archives generally holds court records that are more than 50 years old. Please contact the court where the probate was filed, which is usually the county where the party resided. Find contact information at https://utcourts.gov/directory/.
Thank you for your inquiry. You will need to contact the Office of Vital Records for a birth certificate that is less than 100 years old. You can reach them at vitalrecords.utah.gov.

The Archives does not have naturalization records for 1999, or much of anything after the 1930s. Please see our research guide at https://archives.utah.gov/research/guides/naturalizations.htm for more information.
