Dr. Johnson is the best, if I was rating him, I'd give him 5/5 stars. He has great bedside manner, seems up to date on endometriosis research, and did a great job taking out my endometriosis during an exploratory laparoscopy. After the surgery he prescribed me Lupron, which was supposed to be started soon after my surgery to prevent endo re-growth. The doctors office took forever to send the scripts to the specialty pharmacy and forgot to send my insurance information. After getting this fixed, the pharmacy said my insurance wouldn't pay for any of the med (it was over $2000), which was a mistake on their end. All in all, there were mistakes made by the obgyn office nurses and pharmacy, resulting in me getting the medication months after I was supposed to, presumably leading to endometriosis growth right after getting it taken out. Throughout this whole situation, I was calling the office frequently to get it figured out. The nurses were often rude on the phone, and not just to me, but to my mom who tried to help out and call (since she's the health insurance expert) a couple times. I went in about 6 months after getting the medication to meet with Dr. Johnson and see what to do next. He was great and we figured out a birth control method that's worked great for me and treatment of my endo. While I was waiting in the room for Dr. Johnson, I could hear the nurses talking about me. They complained about me calling and said some overall negative things about me. It was extremely unprofessional and a bit hurtful. As a nurse myself, it made me sad to hear them talk that way about their patients. Now that my endo treatment is stable, I've transferred to a different obgyn and plan on never returning to St. Mark's if possible.

I would not recommend. They ignore previous gestational diabetes and when youre concerned about your blood sugar, they go off my first lab results and say I'm fine until 20 week appt. At my 17 week appointment I asked for an ultrasound and my provider wasn't very happy and said she doesn't do ultrasounds before 20 weeks. Thankfully she still did it. During my appt I asked if I could possibly know the gender and she said she doesn't diagnosed the baby genders. This is also not the only place that does that.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Prenatal care was abismal, I was told everything was fine when I was in enough pain to keep me from sleeping for 3 straight weeks. Ended up delivering a month early in an emergency c section. I didn't get to eat until nearly 12 hours after already delivering the baby because nobody would ever answer me on whether the hospital food was allergen friendly. Postpartum care is just as terrible. I can't get a simple prescription sent sent my pharmacy no matter how many days in a row I call. They do not care about you there. Do not go there for your gynecological needs or any needs. Women and their symptoms are ignored enough in healthcare. I am no longer allowing it. This is my attempt to finally be heard after over a year of being pushed aside by the staff at this hospital. If you value the women in your life, don't let them go to St. Mark's.

Call Dr. Stephen Voss. He's been doing this for 40 years. If anyone knows, he would! Or at least he would know where to send you. Voss is brilliant!!
