I have held off on writing this review for years because I want local businesses to thrive in Utah. I have finally been told by enough former clients of Boxing Is For Girls that they have been injured or humiliated by Eliza that I decided it's time. As a former trainer at Boxing is For Girls I noticed that they do not require a certification to work there. The gym is dirty (I have seen cockroaches in the corners) and too cluttered. I have been in a class when the owner, Eliza, was belittling a client, and it was extremely uncomfortable for everyone in the class. I ended up resigning after a few months due to the unwelcoming nature of the owner and her 'head-trainer' and how some clients were being treated. I DO NOT RECOMMEND anyone pay for personal training or classes here. If you want to try amazing boxing classes, go to REBEL in Sugarhouse & downtown SLD or Rise Boxing in Summit Park.

As developer I recommend this place because the people there are nice and always you see them smiling

It's fun. But you aren't taught proper form etc. This is more of a "go and get some exercise in" type of setting.

So I love this place. I recently went to my third class and every time I go I am reminded of what a welcoming and non-judgmental environment I am walking into. Eliza is there rooting me on during class and her partner is so warm and helpful. If you are looking for a place to get back to who you really are, this is it.

It's charged per class/training you attend, not per month. People buy packages of 20 trainings and attend trainings as suits their schedule. (Eliza helps you arrange times and such.)
