Rice's has fewer vendors than when I was a kid, for sure. It's a smaller market, which is a shame because it's such a hike to get to. But the plant and flowers section is bigger than ever, and the Thai food we found inside one of the barns was amazing. (Not cheap, but authentic - and they put the hot to stuff on the side so you can add to taste.)
Yes, there's always that one costumer looking for unique items. I was looking for vintage vhs and someone had it. There's more than 300 people at a time buying, so who might know if there's that one costumer and you get lucky.
You should be there by 6 to get a good spot. People start coming so you need time to set up not to mention other vendors shop from each other before as well

Hi Margaret,
No, vendors are not permitted to spend the night. The property is closed off to the public, except for market days during regular hours of operation. We recommend checking out nearby hotels, such as the Clarion Inn & Suites New Hope-Lambertville. Their address is 6426 Lower York Rd, New Hope, PA 18938 and phone number is (215) 862-5221.
