Would like to start off by saying Neighbors is my favorite restaurant pretty much. I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed! The reason I’m leaving a 4 star review instead of 5 is because I went Wednesday evening and ordered the Surf n’ Turf. Everything was great, except my steak sadly. I’m not one to send food back to the kitchen, and our server was great, no need to mention it to her cause it’s not like she’s the one who made the steak. I ordered the sirloin Medium, well… here’s my photo of what it was. Maybe the kitchen staff was overwhelmed but it was waaaay over cooked. I usually only come here on the weekends so I’m not sure if it’s different staffing or what, but mistakes happen. I am reluctant to getting the steak next time though because a medium well steak is pretty much inedible to me lol. But hey, my dog enjoyed it! Also we ordered a beer and wine and didn’t receive them until our entrees came, but if the bar was busy that’s understandable. Needless to say, still love neighbors but will probably order something else next time.

Food was good. Waitress was excellent. I'm leaving 4 stars because I called when we were an hour away and asked if I would need a reservation. Online it said there was a wait, and I told the hostess on the phone that we were coming with a party of 6. She assured me I would not need a reservation and to come on. When we arrived, the hostesses stated there would be a 45 minute wait. I recalled the phone conversation, and one of the waitresses assured me that I didn't "need" a reservation, but that I could have made one for a party of 6. We ended up sitting in the bar area and ate right away. Everything else was great.

Appetizers were amazing! It was a chilly night but we were warm with the heated outside seating!

I ordered the fried green tomatoes and the blackened shrimp tots. The corn pico was absolutely disgusting! I literally couldn't stomach it. In my pictures you can see how the shrimp is completely overcooked. It's supposed to make a c, not an o. It was very rubbery and hard to chew which was disappointing because it had a nice flavor. The queso wasn't bad. What I was most disappointed about were the tomatoes. They look seasoned but they aren't. Not at all. I think it may just be parsley in the breading for garnish. Ultimately, I threw everything but the tots, queso, jalapeños, and bacon away and ended up ordering taco bell instead. They were friendly but that food was a waste of money.
