Terrible experience living in Arrive, the elevator under maintenance all the time, packages were missing regularly, fire alarm rings for no reason several time. And NEVER try to email the leasing agent, you will not get any response from them. Even if you call them or just show up and talk to them in person, the answer you will get is always “ we will get back to you tomorrow” and obviously, nothing!!! The worst part is after one and half month moving out from there, I haven’t received my deposit yet. I tried to call and email them, just like my previously experience, no response at all!!!

I moved in this week to Arrive University City, and I could not be happier. Anita and Maurice were really great in helping me thru the leasing process and getting me settled in for my stay here. They certainly went above and beyond, and I would HIGHLY recommend this upscale community if life takes you to the best part of Philly -- close to everything. First class all the way, and the amenities are great, too.

Students and international applicants: Avoid this place at all costs! Predatory, xenophobic leasing office. We attempted to rent this place on Sep 17. We were told since the main applicant is an international student without an income, then he would need a guarantor for rent. The application fee would be $500 + $75 per applicant (both tenant and guarantor=$150). The guarantor was asked to provide a bank statement for the previous 3 months, which he did with funds far exceeding the minimum needed. The guarantor offered to pay the entire year's worth of rent UPFRONT in cash. He was also told no. After applying and paying $650 total, the guarantor was told that the bank statement was no longer sufficient and they required additional documentation including proof of income from the institution's president/dean. NONE of which was mentioned prior to applying (3 witnesses). Mind you this would take an additional week, plus 3-5 days to process the application, plus 3-5 days to get the furniture, when we had ever so clearly explained that school had started and the tenant is keen to move in efficiently as to not disrupt his school work any further. When called and informed of this, the leasing office said they had no interest in refunding the application fees, when the application was note even CONSIDERED in the first place. They claimed the contract explained this was nonrefundable, however they had LIED about the requirements, made up new ones as they saw fit, and made this an impossible experience for us. I have lived in North America (USA/Canada) for the last decade, and I have never come across such predatory, xenophobic, and unprofessional staff. Their treatment of a student moving to a new country and father attempting to help his son move in was unbelievable and not representative of the people/renters I have come across in my experience here. I hope this story helps future applicants beware this residence and avoid our mistake.

Our property, previously named 3601 Market Street, was built by the prior management company, Southern Land Company. As far as the company who physically built it, we are unaware.
We are not an income based housing. All applications must show 3 times the rental price before taxes on their proof of income to qualify.
Arrive University City offers studios, 1 bedroom 1 bath, and 2 bedrooms 2 baths. Arrive University City does not offer 3 bedrooms.
Security deposits can range from $500-an additional 2 month's deposit. This is dependent upon background check and screening.
Leases are typically 12 months, but Arrive University City is happy to accommodate 2-15 month leases. Prices will vary based upon length, with 2 months typically being the most expensive and 15 months typically being the least expensive.
It is not included in the rent price but you will get just one bill including rent + utilities.
There are a few restaurants in the lower level of the building on 36th Street. There is a Dunkin’ Donuts, Jimmy Johns, Schmear It and Matt Sliders. A dine-in Asian Fusion restaurant is coming soon called DanLu.
